Kaspersky Next EDR Expert gains Certified status from AV-Comparatives

March 10, 2025 - AV-Comparatives, an independent organization offering systematic testing that checks whether security software lives up to its promises, has granted Kaspersky Next EDR Expert (on-premises) Certified status in its EDR Detection Validation Certification Test. Kaspersky was the first vendor to accept the invitation to participate, facing the challenge of undergoing the assessment without prior benchmarks from other vendors.

The volume of sophisticated cyber threats today necessitates enterprises prioritizing robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard their assets. Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions have become integral to this defense strategy. According to The Insight Partners, the EDR market size is set to be worth $8.21 billion by 2031. This growth underscores the increasing reliance on EDR solutions to detect, analyze and respond to advanced threats in real time, enhancing organizational security postures.

Kaspersky Next EDR Expert is one of the key elements of the comprehensive platform Kaspersky Next XDR (Extended Detection and Response) Expert. This solution enables companies to strengthen control over their endpoint infrastructure working together with included EPP technology to block mass attacks. It also automatically scans for more complex cyberthreats, proactively investigates incidents, and equips IT specialists with the comprehensive response tools they need to carry out their work effectively.

“Kaspersky Next EDR Expert demonstrated strong detection capabilities, underpinned by its advanced technology stack and ease of use. These attributes make it a solid choice for threat detection and response in enterprise environments,” said A. Clementi, CEO, AV-Comparatives.
“We value independent professional assessments of our enterprise security solutions, as they provide expert third-party insights into their real-world capabilities and help us identify opportunities for further improvement. AV-Comparatives' new EDR Detection Validation Certification Test is one such evaluation, and we were proud to be the first vendor to take on this challenge.” said Alexander Liskin, Head of Threat Research at Kaspersky, adding that “Kaspersky Next EDR Expert successfully detected multiple attack techniques throughout the rigorous testing process, earning Certified status. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to delivering advanced, effective cybersecurity solutions that help organizations strengthen their defenses against evolving threats.”
